This spectacular, unique tour departs from Fort Augustus and travels the full length of Loch Ness, a 46-mile round trip.
We allow you to tailor this trip to your own requirements. You can take a 1 hour visit to Urquhart Castle which will provide an insight into it’s dramatic history since St Columba’s time. Or, if you would prefer to stay on board, we travel further north to view the enchanting privately owned Aldourie Castle and serene Dores beach, home of the famous Loch Ness Monster-hunter Steve Feltham.
As with our other fast Loch Ness boat trips, we spend lots of time going very fast and every 15-20 minutes we stop to impart a little local knowledge.
Additional stops on the boat tour include:
- The site where John Cobb tried to break the world water speed record in his jet speedboat Crusader in 1952. He died during the attempt whilst travelling at a speed in excess of 200mph.
- Boleskine House which used to be owned by Jimmy Page (of Led Zeppelin fame) who claimed it was haunted by a severed head.
- Cory’s Cave, an extremely well-hidden cave named after a local man who became a fugitive after he shot at the Duke of Cumberland's Redcoats during the ’45 rebellion.
If you want to spend half a day mixing the natural beauty of the Highlands with an adrenaline rush and some local history to boot... this is definitely the Loch Ness boat tour for you!
